Hopman Cup 2025 Begins Today in Bari, Italy on Indoor Courts

The 2025 Hopman Cup officially started today, 16 Juli, in Bari, Italia, bringing back the prestigious mixed-team event that pairs male and female tennis stars from various countries. The tournament runs until 20 Juli and is being held on indoor hard courts at the PalaFlorio Arena.

A total of six nations are competing this year, each represented by a male and female player, battling in singles and mixed doubles. The unique format promotes both competitive edge and national unity, making it a standout fixture on the international tennis calendar.

Tournament Director Paul McNamee said:

“The Hopman Cup is more than a tennis event—it’s a celebration of unity in sport. Bari has embraced this spirit, and we expect a fantastic week of competition.”

The Hopman Cup, which returned in 2023 after a brief hiatus, continues its revival in Europe, having shifted from its former home in Perth, Australia. Defending champions and new contenders alike are aiming to claim the team title in Sunday’s final.

With its blend of elite-level play and mixed-gender partnerships, the Hopman Cup remains a fan favorite, and the 2025 edition promises to deliver compelling matches and memorable moments throughout the week.
