Honda has delivered a surprising performance at the start of the 2025 MotoGP season, defying pre-season expectations. Meanwhile, Yamaha, which was predicted to dominate, is struggling to find its rhythm.

The Japanese manufacturer has recorded positive results since the season opener at the Thailand GP, with several riders consistently finishing in the top five. Luca Marini and Joan Mir from the Honda HRC Castrol team, along with Johann Zarco from the satellite team, have shown significant progress.

The biggest highlight came from Johann Zarco after the Argentina GP at Termas de Río Hondo Circuit. The 34-year-old rider managed to compete with Marc Márquez from Ducati Lenovo during the qualifying sessions. Despite vibration issues with his RC213V motorcycle, which hindered his podium chances, Zarco secured fourth place in the sprint race and sixth in the main race.

Honda’s unexpected resurgence and Yamaha’s early struggles set the stage for an exciting 2025 MotoGP season. With strong performances from Zarco, Marini, and Mir, Honda is proving to be a serious contender, while Yamaha must quickly adapt to stay competitive.
