Honda MotoGP has opportunity to sign Jorge Martin for 2026 season

According to MotoGP.com, Honda is considering the possibility of bringing in Jorge Martin for the 2026 season — a move that could significantly reshape their rider lineup.

Albert Valera, Martin’s personal manager, confirms that Honda is one of the potential destinations for his client who will become a free agent in 2026. Honda team manager Alberto Puig responds to this situation cautiously.

“Martin is one of the options because if he exits his contract, he can choose any manufacturer. We can wait. This is a matter between Aprilia and Jorge,” says Puig.

Among Honda’s current four riders, only Joan Mir has a confirmed contract until 2026 with the Honda HRC Castrol factory team — while the future of Luca Marini, Johann Zarco, and Somkiat Chantra remains uncertain.
