Honda Dream Cup 2025 Samarinda successfully hosts 137 starters

The Honda Dream Cup 2025 Samarinda series held at Gelora Kadrie Oening last weekend — marks the revival of motorcycle racing in the city after a pandemic-induced hiatus.

This prestigious event featured 137 starters competing across 12 different classes — demonstrating the high enthusiasm of local racers.

The latest innovation in this competition is the addition of the Vario 160 class divided into two categories:

• Vario 160 Standard
• Vario 160 Local Kalimantan

Andhika Sabmarin, Brand Activation Manager of Aastra Honda Motor (AHM), explained the reasoning behind choosing Samarinda as the host.

“We previously held it in 2019, but the covid-19 factor caused postponement,” Sabmarin explained while emphasizing the great potential of local racers in Kota Tepian.
