Hokky Caraka competes with Jens Raven for U-23 national team striker position

According to Bolasport.com, Indonesia U-23 national team coach Gerald Vanenburg has announced his initial squad for the training camp starting June 20.

In preparation for the 2025 ASEAN Cup U-23, the Dutch tactician has called up 30 players — which will be narrowed down to 23 players for the July competition.

Interestingly, out of all players called up, there are only two pure strikers in the squad:

Hokky Caraka (PSS Sleman)
Jens Raven (FC Dordrecht)

Vanenburg appears to favor calling up more attacking midfielders and wingers — making the competition for the main striker position focused between Caraka and Raven ahead of the tournament.
