Herry IP Sets Super 1000 Title Target for Malaysian Men’s Doubles

Herry Iman Pierngadi, Malaysian men’s doubles coach, has set an ambitious target for his players ahead of two BWF World Tour tournaments in July.

The two prestigious tournaments — Japan Open taking place in Tokyo on July 15-20 and China Open held in Changzhou on July 22-27, 2025 — will be proving grounds for the Malaysian team.

The pairs Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik and Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun have been challenged to secure at least one championship title from these tournaments.

Recent achievements of both Malaysian doubles pairs stopped at finals — Chia/Soh at All England Open and Wei Chong/Kai Wun at Indonesia Open last year — without managing to clinch a Super 1000 title.
