Herry IP reveals Malaysia’s men’s doubles strategy ahead of Sudirman Cup 2025

Malaysian badminton team — reinforced by three reliable men’s doubles pairs — is ready to face the 2025 Sudirman Cup starting later this month.

Coach Herry Iman Pierngadi leads the men’s doubles sector with three top pairs:

• Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik
• Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin Rumsani
• Man Wei Chong/Kai Wun Tee

“These three pairs have different playing styles, and this becomes our distinct advantage,” stated Herry while overseeing team practice.

“Their unique styles allow me to choose pairs that best match against opponents. This is the best Malaysia has in men’s doubles, and we must utilize this strength fully,” he added.

Team motivation has increased after Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik claimed the Asian Championships title earlier this year. (NST)
