Herry IP Prepares Malaysian Men’s Doubles for 2025 World Championships

According to Harian Metro, Malaysian men’s doubles coach Herry Iman Pierngadi is preparing his players for the 2025 World Championships. The coach, commonly known as Herry IP — has successfully guided two Malaysian men’s doubles pairs into the world’s top 10.

The pair of Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik currently holds the world’s number 2 position — trailing just 1,220 points behind the top-ranked pair, Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin. Meanwhile, the pair of Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun occupies the world’s number 7 spot.

“World ranking position is not our main target. Because if players perform well and win tournaments, the ranking will naturally improve. So for us, adding more titles is more important,” states Aaron Chia.

The coach, nicknamed the Fire Dragon, has led his players to various prestigious titles — including Olympic bronze medals for the Chia/Soh pair.
