Hamilton Gives Green Light for Verstappen’s Potential Mercedes Move

Lewis Hamilton offers full support to Mercedes — the team that brought him six world championships — as a potential destination for Max Verstappen.

Speculation about Verstappen’s future at Red Bull continues to grow, with Mercedes emerging as a strong candidate for the Dutch driver. This situation draws attention as Verstappen still faces challenges with his current Red Bull car.

“Of course I would recommend Mercedes. They’re an amazing team with great personnel, excellent factory, and wonderful working environment,” Hamilton states.

Hamilton also acknowledges his regret over past comments about Red Bull. “I once called Red Bull just a drinks company. I regret that because they’re actually an incredible team and have dominated for years,” he adds.

Toto Wolff, Mercedes team principal, claims to have held talks with Verstappen. However, when asked about this at the British GP media session, Verstappen simply responded — “Who says that?”
