Hamilton Remains Fiery After Team Radio Incident At Miami GP

Lewis Hamilton — the Formula 1 veteran with 362 Grand Prix starts — reaffirmed his passion for racing after a tense moment during the Miami Grand Prix, emphasizing that his competitive spirit remains strong despite his vast experience.

On-Track Frustration With Teammate Leclerc

Ferrari’s race strategy drew criticism once more after Hamilton and Charles Leclerc found themselves battling on the same section of the track, slowing each other down. Starting from 12th on hard tyres, Hamilton voiced his irritation over team radio after rejoining behind Leclerc post-pit stop.

“This was sarcasm, not anger,” Hamilton later clarified. “I just want to win. The fire in my belly is still there. I won’t apologize for being a fighter and still wanting it.”

Ferrari Management Steps In

Team principal Frédéric Vasseur addressed the situation with both drivers after the race to maintain internal unity. Ferrari ended the race in seventh and eighth positions, marking their worst result of the 2025 season without a podium finish.

Upgrades Expected To Boost Ferrari’s Competitiveness

Despite the setback, Hamilton remains optimistic. Upcoming technical upgrades — including more stringent tests on front wing flexibility — are expected to enhance Ferrari’s performance and close the gap to their competitors.
