Hamilton affirms full support for Vasseur at Ferrari ahead of Canadian GP

Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has given his full support to Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur — dismissing speculation about the team leader’s future.

Ferrari currently holds second place in the constructors’ championship, though trailing significantly behind McLaren with a 197-point gap.

“Fred is the main reason I’m in this team and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity. I believe Fred is the person to take us to the top,” Hamilton stated.

Hamilton also denied rumors about his own future at Ferrari:

“I literally just started with Ferrari. I’m here for the long haul, so please stop making up stuff.”

While acknowledging challenges in adapting to different team working methods, the seven-time world champion emphasized that the internal situation is much better than it appears from the outside.
