Haas F1 celebrates 200 race milestone with impressive performance

Haas F1 team reached a significant milestone at the Canadian GP — celebrating their 200th race with a livery reminiscent of their 2016 debut.

Ayao Komatsu, the new team principal, reflects on Haas’s journey from a startup to a competitive midfield contender. The American outfit — with bases in the UK, Italy, and USA — has risen from the bottom position in 2023 to become a solid midfield challenger.

“I still remember 10 years ago like yesterday — car build, pre-season testing, going to Melbourne,” said Komatsu. “Lots of ups and downs happened since, but now I’m really proud of where we are.”

With new driver pairing Esteban Ocon and rookie Oliver Bearman, the team has secured seven points-scoring finishes — demonstrating consistent performance improvement in the 2025 season.

Despite facing challenges in performance consistency and tight midfield competition, Haas continues to show positive development. F1’s smallest team is considering upgrading their Banbury facility, while balancing focus between 2025 car development and preparation for new 2026 regulations.
