Gustavo Franca Nominated for Liga 1 Best Player Award

PT Liga Indonesia Baru, through its Technical Study Group (TSG), has officially announced the eight nominees for the 2024/2025 Liga 1 Best Player award — including Gustavo Franca and his Persib Bandung teammate Tyronne Del Pino.

This nomination is far from a fluke for Gustavo Franca, who has delivered impressive performances since joining Maung Bandung at the start of the season. The 28-year-old has become a vital figure in the team’s defense.

Franca’s statistics speak volumes — in 29 appearances, the Brazilian center-back scored five goals and provided two assists, an uncommon feat for a defender.

The nominee list also includes other top performers, such as Mariano Peralta of Borneo FC, who adds more intensity to the race for this season’s Liga 1 Best Player award.
