Guirassy shines as Dortmund eliminates Monterrey in Club World Cup

Borussia Dortmund completed the quarter-final lineup of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Monterrey at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta.

Serhou Guirassy delivered an outstanding performance by scoring both goals that led Die Borussen to a 2-1 victory over the Mexican representatives. The Dortmund’s key striker managed to overcome tight marking from veteran defender Sergio Ramos.

Dortmund showed their dominance from the start of the match — their lead came in the 14th minute through Guirassy‘s strike. Monterrey only managed to score once through German Berterame.
