According to PBSI, two Indonesian badminton athletes — Gregoria Mariska Tunjung and Daniel Marthin — had to withdraw from two major tournaments due to health issues.

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung has been suffering from severe vertigo for two months, causing balance problems and vomiting that required two hospital trips by ambulance. Meanwhile, Daniel Marthin is dealing with a cartilage injury in his left knee.

Both players will miss the following BWF World Tour events:

  • Singapore Open 2025 (Super 750) in late May
  • Indonesia Open 2025 (Super 1000) in early June

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung has been withdrawn from Singapore Open and Indonesia Open,” said Eng Hian, Head of PBSI’s Binpres Division.
