Gregoria Mariska Claims Victory at China Open 2025

Gregoria Mariska Tunjung continued her campaign at the China Open 2025 by defeating Japan’s Kaoru Sugiyama at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Changzhou.

The Indonesian women’s singles shuttler won with a score of 23-21, 21-9, marking her first victory since the 2025 Asian Championships last April.

The first game was tightly contested, with both players exchanging points up to 7-7. Sugiyama briefly led 10-8, but Gregoria turned things around and claimed the opener 23-21.

The second game saw Gregoria take full control — closing the match with a convincing 21-9 win.
