Giovanna Milana Leads Petro Gazz to 2025 AVC Champions League Quarterfinals

Giovanna Milana delivered a stunning performance to lead the Petro Gazz Angels to a dominant 3-0 win over Hip Hing Women’s Volleyball Team in the 2025 AVC Champions League group stage, held at Philsports Arena, Pasig City.

The victory — with set scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-12 — secured a spot in the quarterfinals for the Philippines-based team, bouncing back strongly after a previous loss to Taipower of Taiwan.

Playing as an outside hitter, Milana scored 18 points, significantly outshining teammates Brooke Van Sickle and MJ Phillips.

The American volleyball star has a strong connection to Asian volleyball, having previously played for Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks in the Korean V-League, where she was teammates with Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi.
