Gigi Dall’Igna Working to Restore Bagnaia’s Best Performance in MotoGP

Ducati’s Gigi Dall’Igna Focused on Bringing Back Bagnaia’s Peak Form

Ducati General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna is working tirelessly to identify and solve the issues hindering Francesco Bagnaia’s performance ahead of the MotoGP 2025 season.

Spanish GP Podium Not Enough for Ducati

Although Bagnaia secured third place at the Spanish MotoGP, the result fell short of the expectations held by the Ducati Lenovo Team. The Italian star notably struggled to overtake Fabio Quartararo of Monster Energy Yamaha, despite riding the latest Desmosedici GP25.

Signs of Decline in Bagnaia’s 2025 Season

The decline is evident when comparing Bagnaia’s current performance with his form from last season. Previously, he was engaged in fierce battles with Jorge Martin, but now even faces difficulty outperforming his own teammate, Marc Marquez.

More strikingly, Bagnaia has yet to claim a sprint race victory this season — a stark contrast to his dominant showings in previous main races. The Ducati camp hopes their lead rider can rediscover his winning rhythm soon.
