Gerald Vanenburg — Indonesia U-23 national team coach — is preparing a special strategy for the upcoming ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 to be held in Jakarta and Bekasi.

The tournament, scheduled for July 15-29, places Indonesia U-23 national team in Group A — alongside Malaysia, Philippines, and Brunei Darussalam.

During preparation phase, the Dutch coach called up 30 players, but two goalkeepers were cut from the squad:

  • Husna Al Malik (Persik)
  • Putra Sheva Sanggasi (Persib)

Despite having no friendly matches and training with only 28 players, Vanenburg remains optimistic about meeting PSSI’s target to win this regional championship.
