Gerald Vanenburg opts for senior squad in Indonesia U-23 team

Ahead of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025, Gerald Vanenburg has shown his preference for senior players in the Indonesia U-23 national team selection, with training camp scheduled to begin on June 20.

The successor to Shin Tae-yong has retained six players from the previous era — Daffa Fasya, Muhammad Ferarri, Arkhan Fikri, Rayhan Hannan, and Hokky Caraka.

In the current squad composition, only two players under 20 years old have been given opportunities — Jens Raven from FC Dordrecht and Rahmat Syawal from PSIS. The third youngest player in the list is Kadek Arel who celebrated his 20th birthday this past April.
