Gerald Vanenburg implements intensive training methods for Indonesia U-23 team

Gerald Vanenburg, the 61-year-old coach currently leading Indonesia’s U-23 national team, demonstrates his firm character in team management. The Dutch tactician — who previously served as assistant coach for Indonesia’s national team under Patrick Kluivert — has now earned PSSI’s full trust to develop the U-23 squad.

His professional experience with elite European clubs — including Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven, and FC Utrecht — serves as valuable foundation in shaping the squad led by Hokky Caraka. The young Indonesian players show enthusiasm and focus while following the guidance of the 172 cm tall coach.

Ahmed Zaki Iskandar, Indonesia U-23 team manager who has known Vanenburg for a long time, fully supports the implemented training methods.
