Gary Rowett Secures Oxford United’s Championship Status

Gary Rowett has successfully secured Oxford United‘s place in the Championship — the second tier of English football — with one match remaining. The club, known as The U’s, has collected 52 points, ensuring safety from relegation.

The team’s form has notably improved since Rowett took charge at the end of December, replacing Des Buckingham, who had previously guided the team to promotion from League One. With 48 points, Hull City can no longer catch up to Oxford United in the final round.
