Gary Rowett ready to lead Oxford United’s adventure in President’s Cup

Coach Gary Rowett welcomes Oxford United’s participation in the 2025 President’s Cup — a tournament set to take place this coming July.

This pre-season competition will bring together six teams:

• Oxford United
• Port FC
• Arema FC
• Persib Bandung
• Dewa United
• Indonesia All Star

Matches will be held at two different venues — the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta and Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, with a grand prize of 11.5 billion rupiah for the champion.

“It’s important for us to go there and embrace everything from the cultural aspect,” says Rowett, who sees this tournament as a valuable opportunity for his team to experience Indonesian football.
