Gabriel Magalhaes suffers hamstring injury, Arsenal loses key defender

According to BBC, Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes suffered a serious injury during his team’s 2-1 victory over Fulham at Emirates Stadium.

The Brazilian player only managed to play for 16 minutes — before being forced off due to hamstring problems.

Medical examination results revealed that Gabriel Magalhaes requires surgery to address his injury.

“Gabi will undergo a hamstring repair surgical procedure in the coming days. He will immediately begin his recovery and rehabilitation program with the aim of being ready for the start of next season,” stated Arsenal’s official announcement.

This injury leaves Arsenal’s defense without a crucial figure — as Gabriel Magalhaes is confirmed to be absent until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
