Gabriel Heinze joins Arsenal coaching staff

Gabriel Heinze officially joins Arsenal’s coaching staff under Mikel Arteta’s leadership — replacing Carlos Cuesta who last month decided to move to Parma as head coach.

Arsenal welcomed the 47-year-old coach through an official statement: “We are excited with the introduction of Gabriel to our men’s first-team coaching staff and welcome him and his family to Arsenal.”

Before joining Arsenal, Heinze had coaching experience at various clubs — most recently managing Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina after previously coaching Atlanta United, Velez Sarsfield, Argentinos Juniors, and Godoy Cruz.

The former Argentina international with 72 caps had a brilliant playing career — spending three years at Manchester United and winning the Premier League title, as well as representing major clubs like Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Marseille.
