Furia Drops Valorant Roster Ahead of Major Rebuild

South American Valorant veteran team Furia has announced a major roster overhaul, releasing nearly all players who have competed for the squad over the past four years.

The Beast has parted ways with Khalil “Khalil” Schmidt, Leonardo “mwzera” da Silva, Ilan “havoc” Eloy and Rafael “raafa” Lima. The organization is now finalizing contracts with new players ahead of upcoming competitions. Only Olavo “heat” Marcelo remains as the core player on the roster.

This drastic shakeup follows the team’s disappointing performances in recent high-profile tournaments, including the Americas Kickoff 2025 and VCT Americas 2025: Stage 1. These results definitely far below expectations for a team of Furia’s caliber, long regarded as one of Brazil’s Valorant behemoth.

The roster changes are expected to be finalized by tomorrow, as Furia prepares for the 2025 Esports World Cup Qualifiers. Their quest for a spot in the prestigious tournament begins with a match against 100 Thieves, who also experiencing a sharp decline this season.
