Franco Gattuso Confirms His Son Will Coach Italian National Team

Franco Gattuso has confirmed that his son — Gennaro Gattuso — is set to take charge of the Italian national team as head coach.

The former AC Milan manager has held crucial meetings with Italy’s national team manager Gianluigi Buffon and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina — discussing the national team development project and presenting his coaching vision.

Franco has also given a special mandate to his 47-year-old son — to lead Gli Azzurri to World Cup glory in the future.

“I’m confident Gennaro will become Italy’s coach and hope he can prove himself by leading the team to World Cup victory,” stated Franco Gattuso.
