Francesco Bagnaia faces tough challenge at Dutch MotoGP

Francesco Bagnaia faces a crucial test as he returns to his favorite track for the tenth round of the 2025 Dutch MotoGP. The Ducati Lenovo rider — a two-time world champion — has yet to show his usual dominant performance this season.

High expectations from Bagnaia’s collaboration with Marc Marquez in the Ducati team haven’t yielded optimal results. Instead, the Marquez brothers — Marc and Alex from BK8 Gresini Racing with their older Ducati machine — secured a one-two finish.

Signs of Bagnaia’s performance decline were evident since preseason testing. The Italian rider failed to secure victories at three circuits that traditionally favored him:

  • GP Qatar (fourth round)
  • GP Spain (fifth round)
  • GP Italy (ninth round)

In Qatar and Spain, Bagnaia managed podium finishes — but his worst result came at his home race in Italy, where he only finished fourth.
