Francesco Bagnaia changes mindset ahead of German MotoGP

Francesco Bagnaia of Ducati Lenovo team has undergone a significant mentality change ahead of the 11th round of 2025 German MotoGP — this is evident from his shifting attitude towards the team.

The relationship between the two-time MotoGP champion and Ducati experienced tension due to performance issues with the Nuvola Rossa bike. Bagnaia frequently highlighted problems with the front end of his motorcycle, while the team saw the situation differently.

“Pecco needs to think that he is a champion, he needs to control his problems,” stated Team Manager Davide Tardozzi during Qatar GP.

“One thing we need to fix with him is not to think about problems, but control them. The bike has very good advantages… so use them.”

Bagnaia’s attitude change became apparent before the Dutch GP — the Italian rider apologized to the team in an internal meeting and began focusing on improving his own capabilities rather than complaining about bike shortcomings.
