Fourth-seeded Danish pair eliminated from Japan Open 2025

Danish men’s doubles Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen — tournament’s fourth seeds — had to end their journey at the Japan Open 2025 taking place at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Japan.

The world number four pair succumbed to Malaysian representatives Nur Moh Azriyn Ayub Azriyn/Tan We Kiong with scores of 16-21, 21-15, 19-21 in a match that lasted 63 minutes.

The Malaysian duo ranked 26th in the world — showed surprising performance from the start with their solid gameplay. Azriyn/Tan managed to lead at the first interval with a score of 11-7 and maintained their advantage until closing the opening game.
