Four teams ready for Women’s Euro 2025 semifinals

Following the Women’s Euro 2025 quarter-finals, Europe’s top four teams — England, Spain, Italy, and Germany — are set for semifinal battles.

Italy will face England in Geneva on Tuesday evening, while Spain meets Germany in Zurich the following day. Both matches are scheduled for 9:00 PM local time.

Defending champions England under Sarina Wiegman have shown tactical adaptability — yet continue to face defensive challenges. They have recorded eight errors leading to opposition chances.

Andrea Soncin has guided Italy to their first semifinal in 28 years. Le Azzurre rely on direct play with the tournament’s best long-ball completion rate of 60.1%.

Spain has dominated with 16 goals while conceding only three. La Roja maintains an average possession of 73.5% — the highest in the tournament.

Germany faces squad depth issues following Kathrin Hendrich’s suspension and captain Giulia Gwinn’s injury. They continue to rely on wingers Klara Bühl and Jule Brand who have shown impressive performances.
