Former RRQ Hoshi Star Weighs in on Skylar’s Hiatus

Former RRQ Hoshi roamer Calvin “Vyn” has weighed in on the uncertain status of his ex-teammate Schevenko “Skylar” Tendean, following the gold laner’s removal from the team’s starting lineup.

In February 2025, RRQ CEO Andrian “AP” Pauline announced that Skylar would take an indefinite hiatus from professional MLBB. They replaced the 23 year-old gold laner with Muhammad “Toyy” Rizky — promoted from RRQ’s second squad, RRQ Sena — who has since silenced doubters with standout performances.

Addressing the situation during a live stream on his channel, Vyn underlined that players who take breaks from RRQ Hoshi’s main roster rarely return. So, he advised Skylar to explore opportunities with other teams if they arise.

“If he wants to return to competitive play, he should consider switching teams. The chance of rejoining RRQ is slim. This apply to everyone who is taking a break.”

Despite taking a break from the competitive scene, Skylar reputation as one of elite gold laners remains intact. Over the past year, he played a pivotal role in revitalizing RRQ Hoshi during their rebuilding phase, delivering clutch performances at big tournaments.
