According to ESPN, Nottingham Forest will file a formal protest to the Premier League regarding Tottenham Hotspur’s approach for Morgan Gibbs-White — the £60 million transfer is now delayed.

Forest expresses dissatisfaction with Spurs’ method of approaching the 25-year-old player, while the North London club maintains there were no violations in their negotiation process. Medical examinations have already been completed by Gibbs-White.

Although the transfer is expected to proceed eventually, the finalization must await the resolution of Forest’s complaint. The creative midfielder proved crucial for Forest last season — helping the club secure Conference League qualification after being in contention for Champions League spots.
