Football legend names to grace next season’s Liga 1

Liga 1 2025/2026, set to kick off on August 8 — will be marked by the presence of players sharing names with world football legends.

Ronaldo Kwateh emerges as one of the players who will feature in Indonesia’s top football competition — after joining Semen Padang for the upcoming season.

Besides Kwateh, several other players share names with football legends:

• Figo
• Vinicius
• Balotelli

Before joining Semen Padang, the 20-year-old Ronaldo Kwateh played for Muangthong United and was loaned to Mahasarakham SBT in the Thai League last season.
