Fonsi Nieto Comments on Jorge Martin’s Future at Aprilia

Former Pramac Ducati mentor Fonsi Nieto has spoken out about the future of Jorge Martin at Aprilia Racing — the rider who has disrupted the dominance of the sibling duo in MotoGP.

Speculation over Martin’s move from the Noale-based factory team has intensified after the rider hinted at a possible departure.

“It’s natural that Aprilia wants him to stay. He’s a World Champion,” said Nieto. “They want to fight and convince Jorge to stay, but they need to prove a lot and change his mind.”

Nieto emphasized that Aprilia must meet the demands of the Madrid-born rider — especially in terms of bike development to fulfill his ambitions of winning the MotoGP title, considering the huge risks riders take on track.
