Fnatic Sends Sentinels Packing at Masters Toronto 2025

This morning’s intense Lower Bracket quarterfinal of Masters Toronto 2025 clash between Fnatic and Sentinels has concluded with a hard-fought 2-1 victory for the Orange squad.

Considered a premature grand finals matchup given their status as regional powerhouses – Fnatic in VCT EMEA and Sentinels in VCT Americas – both teams suffered early Playoff losses, forcing them into the Lower Bracket where they eventually met in this decisive elimination round.

Sentinels started strong on their favored map, Sunset, thanks to the formidable duo of Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro and Marshall “N4RRATE” Masey, who dominated with pinpoint accuracy to secure an 8-4 halftime lead. Their momentum continued in the second half through coordinated retake executes, stifling Fnatic’s strategy and sealing a 13-9 win for their team.

Fnatic then replied aggressively in Game 2 on Ascent. Superior utility usage propelled them to a commanding 8-0 start in the first half. Sentinels tightened their spots in crucial areas after the side switch, but they couldn’t contain the firepower of Fnatic star Emir “Alfajer” Beder as The Orange squad marching to 13-7 victory.

The decider on Icebox delivered fierce back-and-forth action. Sentinels managed a slight 7-5 advantage at halftime. However, switching to the attacking side unlocked Fnatic’s momentum as they unleashed an unstoppable 8-round streak, breaking Sentinels’ attempts to recover. They ultimately secured the series with a 13-9 victory.

With this win, Fnatic advances to the Lower Bracket Final, where they will face regional rivals G2 Esports, who emerged victorious from a grueling match against Gen.G Esports earlier. The stage for The Americana Derby is set for this Saturday, following Friday’s Upper Bracket Final between Paper Rex and Wolves Esports.
