Fnatic Assures Leo is Not Joining Other Teams

Fnatic doesn’t seem to be planning to release their Valorant star player, Leo “Leo” Jannesson, anytime soon – regardless of his status on the active roster.

As it known, the Masters Tokyo and LOCK//IN São Paulo champion took an indefinite break from Valorant competition in mid-2024. His spot then filled by Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski, who became a regular starter and delivered strong performances during VCT EMEA 2025: Stage 1.

Ahead of last new year, Leo was expected to return but extended his break from competitive instead, sparking speculation among fans. Many fans were speculating that kaajak’s impressive form had pushed the Swedish player out of Fnatic’s plans, suggesting he might join another team for the next season.

However, Fnatic’s Senior Director Colin “Cojo” Johnson quickly shut down these wild rumors. Joking on social media (X), he stated that some things simply aren’t up for debate, including Leo’s status as part of Fnatic.

This stance is backed by Cojo’s statement last year confirming Leo’s contract with Fnatic runs until the end of 2025. Given Leo’s exceptional mechanical skills, Fnatic remains open to bringing him back once he resolves his ongoing physical issues.
