Florescent Faces Sexual Assault Allegations

VCT Game Changers legend, Ava “Florescent” Eugene, has been put into spotlight following an allegation made by Marceline “karie” Carson about sexual assault happened during last competitive season.

The latter alleges that Florescent attempted sexual assault involving an anonymous internet user named ‘Brick.’ The victim claims Florescent coerced her into sexual acts despite repeated refusals, including an incident in January 2024.

Riot Games, the developer and organizer of the VCT, has acknowledged the allegations and stated it will cooperate with legal investigations. While not explicitly naming Florescent, Riot emphasized confidentiality for both parties until an official legal resolution is reached.

This response has drawn criticism from the Valorant community, with many arguing Riot has not done enough to address sexual misconduct within its esports scene.

Meanwhile, speculation grows that this scandal could end Florescent’s professional career. The 19-year-old trans player had already paused her career ahead of the 2025 competitive season, citing struggles adapting to life in Europe.
