Florescent Denies Sexual Assault Claims, Prepares Legal Defense

Ava “Florescent” Eugene, a member of the Valorant Apeks squad and star of the VCT Game Changers circuit, recently under scrutiny due to sexual harassment allegations, is preparing to contest the claims.

The accusations originated from an anonymous user named “Brick,” who alleged that Florescent, a transgender player, committed multiple instances of sexual harassment during the 2024 competitive season. The claims gained widespread attention when former VCT Game Changers participant Marceline “Karie” Carson shared detailed accounts of the incidents on social media.

According to documents posted by Karie, Brick reportedly endured severe misconduct, including coercion and sexual harassment. One incident in January 2024 was explicitly described as rape.

About one day after, Florescent denied all allegations, calling them fabricated. The 19-year-old player emphasized that she and her legal team are addressing the matter seriously to clear her name. In a social media statement, she said:

“I am aware of the allegations that were made against me and take them very seriously. However, I strongly deny any and all accusations of sexual assault.

Am also exploring immediate legal assitance to help determine the best way for me to proceed, both in determining what I can share publicly, and how to best go about clearing my name.”

Regarding her initial silence when the allegations surfaced, Florescent explained that she holds concrete evidence related to her connection with the anonymous accuser. However, her legal team advised her not to comment until they complete their review of recent developments.

Meanwhile, Riot Games, the organizer of Valorant esports, acknowledged the allegations and affirmed their full cooperation with authorities investigating the case.
