Flavio Silva leaves Persebaya to join South African club

Flavio Silva — the Portuguese striker who previously played for Persebaya Surabaya — has officially joined a South African club.

The 29-year-old player caught attention while playing for Persik Kediri — recording 23 goals from 29 appearances in Liga 1 last season.

This impressive performance attracted Persebaya’s interest, however his goal-scoring productivity declined — managing only 9 goals this season with the Surabaya-based club.

This performance drop ultimately led Persebaya’s management to release the Portuguese striker to the South African club.
