Flashback Set to Regroup with DRX After Break

After a surprising decision to step away several months ago, Cho “Flashback” Min-hyuk has officially rejoined DRX’s main roster, alongside promoted player Taehee ‘Flicker‘ Yoon.

The South Korea-based team decided to add both players to strengthen their squad for the upcoming VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 2, starting mid-July. For Flicker, this also marks his debut on the international stage, as he will play join the squad for the upcoming EWC 2025.

DRX struggled during the Stage 1 playoffs and ultimately failed to secure a spot at Masters Toronto. Flashback’s unexpected absence just before those crucial fixtures was widely seen as a major factor in their loss, generating significant attention due to the initial lack of clarity around his departure.

DRX later clarified that the decision was made to protect Flashback’s mental health, which was reportedly at an all-time low. It was widely known that the 19-year-old player had been diagnosed with related issues and stepped away from the team temporarily around mid-2024.

This roster change will not affect their lineup for the upcoming EWC 2025 in Saudi Arabia. DRX will compete there with the same roster used in the Stage 1 playoffs. Flicker will serve as the sixth player for EWC, while Flashback will join the team after the tournament concludes.
