Five Manchester United players asked to delay training return

According to ESPN, five Manchester United players — Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Tyrell Malacia — have been asked to delay their return to team training sessions.

The five players have expressed their desire to leave Old Trafford next season — the club is giving them extra time to arrange transfers to new clubs. Meanwhile, the main squad under Ruben Amorim is scheduled to return to training on Monday.

Players seeking new clubs will maintain access to medical and rehabilitation facilities — they are asked to report back in late July if they haven’t secured new clubs. Rashford has also been informed he must relinquish the number 10 shirt, which will be given to new recruit Matheus Cunha.

Previously, Antony and Malacia were loaned to Real Betis and PSV Eindhoven last January — while Sancho spent most of the season with Chelsea. United is scheduled to play their first friendly match against Leeds United in Stockholm on July 19 before continuing their tour to the United States.
