Prediksi Finlandia vs Ukraina di Kejuaraan Eropa U-21 (15.06.2025)

On Sunday, June 15 at 23:00 WIB, the U-21 national teams of Finland and Ukraine will face off at the City Stadium in Košice in the second round of Group D at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Finland began the tournament with an exciting 2–2 draw against their Dutch counterparts. Ukraine also played a high-scoring match against Denmark but lost 2–3.

In the Finland vs Ukraine matchup, bookmakers slightly favor the Ukrainian team. A win for the “White and Blues” is priced at 3.78, a draw at 3.98, and a win for the “Blue and Yellows” at 1.86. Over 2.5 total goals is offered at odds of 1.67, indicating expectations of an entertaining, goal-filled match. Bets on both teams to score are priced at 1.62.

Finland

Mika Lehkosuo is relying primarily on the attacking potential of his squad. In the qualification stage, the Suomi team scored 21 goals in ten matches. They then defeated Norway in the playoffs with an aggregate score of 6–3.

Against the Netherlands, the “White and Blues” played two very different halves. In the first half, the attacking trio of Santeri Väänänen, Casper Terho, and Topi Keskinen combined well. In the second half, they were mostly on the defensive under pressure from the more technically skilled Dutch, who needed to come back from a two-goal deficit. Finland’s bench lacked depth and quality, which ultimately cost them the win late in the match.

Ukraine

Interestingly, Unai Melgosa’s team also let their lead slip in the final minutes of the second half against Denmark, despite leading twice during the match. Ukraine showed that they have real strength in their attacking line. While Vladyslav Vanat was neutralized by the defenders, his Dynamo Kyiv teammates Nazar Voloshyn and Maksym Bragaru capitalized on their chances. The man of the match was right midfielder Oleh Ocheretko from Karpaty Lviv, who provided two assists.

However, Denmark had the better bench, and their substitutes made the difference. Ukraine’s defense couldn’t hold off Denmark’s fresh attackers in the final moments. Goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret, although the main shot-stopper for the national champions, also had an unconvincing performance.

Stats and Head-to-Head Record

The teams last met in the Euro qualifiers in 2019 and 2020. On both occasions, the home team lost 0–2.

Prediction

The opening matches showed that both Finland and Ukraine are more effective in attack than in defense. The prediction: both teams will score, with odds of 1.62.
