FIFA President Gianni Infantino revealed that the United States and England are likely to become hosts of the Women’s World Cup in 2031 and 2035, as announced during last week’s UEFA meeting.

The United States — potentially collaborating with CONCACAF nations, including Mexico — stands as the sole party expressing interest in hosting the 2031 event. Meanwhile, England remains the only candidate for hosting the 2035 tournament.

Spain’s plans to submit a joint bid with Portugal and Morocco appear unlikely to materialize. FIFA is scheduled to announce the official hosts for both events next year, while Brazil has been confirmed as the host for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.

“The path is there for the Women’s World Cup to be taking place in great countries in 2031 and 2035,” stated Infantino, “to boost even more the women’s football movement.”

The United States and England are on track to host the 2031 and 2035 Women’s World Cups—respectively, signaling a continued push for the global growth of women’s football.

The decision will be finalized by FIFA next year, following the confirmation of Brazil as the 2027 host.
