FIFA Rankings: Portugal climbs to 6th after UEFA Nations League triumph

FIFA has just released its latest member country rankings on Thursday (10/7/2025) — Argentina remains firmly at the top of the standings as World Cup champions.

The FIFA top five remains unchanged with Spain, France, England, and Brazil consecutively occupying positions 2 through 5.

Portugal national team has moved up one rank to sixth position after claiming the UEFA Nations League title last June — pushing Netherlands down to seventh place.

The final three positions in the top 10 are held by:

• Belgium in 8th place
• Germany in 9th place
• Croatia in 10th place
