FIFA has announced significant changes to the 2025 summer transfer window schedule — the player registration period will open earlier to accommodate the Club World Cup.

A special registration period runs June 1-10, 2025 for Club World Cup participating clubs, including Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Internazionale, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Paris Saint-Germain.

The regular transfer window for top European leagues will open July 1 until September 1, 2025. FIFA has also provided a special clause allowing clubs to replace players whose contracts expire between June 27 and July 3.

Here are the specific schedules for major leagues:

  • Premier League: June 1-10 (Club World Cup clubs only), June 16 – September 1
  • LaLiga: July 1 – September 1
  • Serie A: July 1 – September 1
  • Bundesliga: July 1 – September 1
  • Ligue 1: June 1-10 (PSG), July 1 – September 1

Other leagues like WSL (Women’s Super League) will operate June 18 – September 13, while MLS (Major League Soccer)  opens its transfer period July 24 – August 21, 2025.
