Ferrari Plans to Retain Driver Lineup for 2026 WEC Season

Ferrari Plans to Retain Driver Lineup for 2026 WEC Season

Antonello Coletta, Ferrari’s sportscar racing chief, revealed plans to maintain the current driver lineup of the 499P Le Mans Hypercar factory team for the 2026 WEC championship.

The AF Corse-operated Ferrari team currently relies on two main crews:

  • Car #50: Antonio Fuoco, Nicklas Nielsen, and Miguel Molina
  • Car #51: James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi, and Antonio Giovinazzi

“There is no intention to change anybody, so I hope that we can keep the same team for the next seasons,” stated Coletta during Le Mans 24 Hours week.

However, final decisions will be made after the Le Mans race — considered a turning point in the racing season. The situation becomes interesting with Genesis joining WEC next year, while McLaren and Ford will enter in 2027.

Ferrari has renewed contracts for several drivers late last year and early this year — including Fuoco, Molina, Pier Guidi, Calado, and Nielsen who received multi-year extensions.
