Ferrari Optimistic After Floor Updates Following 3-4 Finish in Austria

Following the Austrian GP, Ferrari has shown positive signs with their latest floor updates — resulting in third and fourth place finishes behind the McLaren duo.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton managed to hold onto podium and fourth positions, despite trailing the dominant McLaren pair. The updates included modifications to four floor areas:

  • Aerodynamic fences
  • Floor edges
  • Central body
  • Diffuser

“This is definitely a step forward, and I think it helped us to be on the podium today,” stated Leclerc after the race.

Jerome d’Ambrosio, Ferrari’s deputy team principal, confirmed that the team is balancing 2025 car development with 2026 regulation preparations. The Maranello outfit is confident in maintaining their constructors’ championship runner-up position while continuing to develop technical understanding for the upcoming season.

Silverstone will provide a true test for these updates — with track temperatures expected to be lower than Austria and possible rainfall in the forecast.
