Ferrari Introduces Major Updates for 2025 Austrian GP

Ferrari makes a bold move by introducing significant updates for the Austrian Grand Prix — with the main focus on comprehensive floor modifications.

During the first practice session, the car was equipped with aerodynamic measurement devices to test the effectiveness of the changes made. The main modifications cover the car’s underside — including floor fences, middle section, and diffuser with some geometric adjustments to the floor edges.

Charles Leclerc shared his perspective on the car’s characteristics:

“Putting the tire in the right window is always more and more difficult. Maybe we’re missing something there, but overall, our car limitations make us struggle a bit more when pushing to the absolute limit in qualifying — different from tire management in the race which is our strength.”

The Italian team tends to operate the SF-25 at higher ride heights — a strategy that sacrifices peak performance but provides better consistency. While Ferrari has struggled in qualifying sessions throughout 2025, their race performance shows more promising results.
