Fernandes and Garnacho Hint at Manchester United Exit

Following Manchester United‘s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League final, Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho have both hinted at uncertain futures at the club.

Fernandes, who signed a long-term contract last year, expressed willingness to leave if the club decides to sell him. The 30-year-old Portuguese midfielder has reportedly attracted a significant offer from Al Hilal.

“I’ll stay here until the club tells me it’s time to go. But if the club feels it’s the right time to part ways to earn money or whatever, that’s football,” said Fernandes.

Garnacho also hinted at frustration after playing only as a substitute in the final. The 20-year-old was previously linked with a January move to Napoli.

“I played every round leading up to the final, I helped the team… and then only got 20 minutes today… I don’t know. I’ll try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next season,” said Garnacho.

Despite the disappointing result and growing pressure on manager Ruben Amorim, Fernandes voiced his support for the former Sporting CP coach, who joined the club just six months ago.
